We took a short drive into New Jersey to Visit Dave & Alvana since we were so close in Delaware. We had delicious dip with chips for appetizers (great recipe sis;), yummy pulled pork sandwiches with macaroni salad, and great blueberry pie! We had a fun time!

Busy Busy Bee

Pop Pop began a game with Ellie that just the two of them share called "Busy Busy Bee". Eliana LOVES when he plays this with her, she smiles really wide and laughs! They have so much fun together, Pop Pop can make her happy at the drop of a hat with this:)

Daddy and Howie rode their Harleys around DE today. I followed them in the car with Eliana and we went to DE City, Coleman's Tree Farm to pick pumpkins and Indian Corn, and the Christiana Mall. It was a gorgeous day for a ride! Daddy is so happy to have his riding buddy back!!!

I went to check on Ellie during one of her naps, and Pandora, my parents kitty, was sleeping at Ellie's feet. I guess she finally made peace with having a baby in the house:)

Amy and Adam's dog Bella tried to play with Ellie while she shook her rattle. It was so cute to watch their interaction. It's good practice for Bella as she'll have to get used to having a baby in the house real soon...Amy is expecting any day now!!!

After staying the weekend at Angie and Matt's, we spent a day of shopping at the Park City Mall in Lancaster PA. Then we met up with Sarah and had a sisters dinner before Eliana and I heading back to Mom and Dad's in DE.

Ellie was getting fussy and she is always curious and nosy, so I turned her around in her stroller to stand up and face front and she held on as I supported her from behind. She has so much fun 'driving' the stroller!

Right now I'm sitting in a beautiful 5 star hotel in Egypt. It's kinda cool that I can check this blog from all the way over here!

Mom Mom Sings

Eliana discovered her feet yesterday while sitting on Pop Pop's lap, but of course, by the time I got the camera, she was done playing with her feet and she was hungry instead! So we got some other footage of her and her feet the next day while Mom Mom sang her a silly song:)

Talan's 1st Birthday Party

On Saturday, after attending Amy's baby shower, we went to Talan's first birthday party. It was a costume party and the little kiddo's didn't want to stay in their costumes for long. Talan is my best friend, Maria's son and he was dressed as a little monkey and Eliana was an adorable green sweet pea! Mommy dressed as Cleopatra which was very fitting with Howie in Egypt:) Ellie, the little glow in the dark skeleton with her Egyptian Mama!

Amy's Baby Shower

The timing of Howie's trip has been pretty neat for the things I've been able to attend while being back 'home' in DE. Amy's baby shower being one of them. Poor Ames is on bed rest, but was able to make an appearance at her shower! It was lovely and she got tons of goodies! Amy opening gifts

Ellie Likes Mommy's Cell Phone

The day after Howie left for FL, to then fly on to Egypt for three weeks, we were talking on speaker phone and his picture ID comes up on my screen. Ellie seemed confused that she heard Daddy and saw a little picture, but couldn't see him present. She talked to the phone, reached for it and hit it etc. It was cute! Howie actually had to hang up at one point because he just couldn't hear me over her! LOL

Howie drove us up to Delaware so that I could stay with my parents while he's deployed to Egypt for three weeks. He had to fly back to Florida, work for a day and then fly out on the 7th and stay till the 27th of October. Since Howie is military, they allowed Ellie and I to accompany him alll the way to the gate. So, we were able to have dinner together at the airport and sit and wait with him until he boarded! While Howie was walking down the ramp to get onto the plane, we were waving back and forth and Ellie waved, too! No lie, no joke - we both swear she purposefully waved one hand about 5 or 6 times...it was so adorable! The family together for the last time before Daddy goes away for three weeks:(
